Lee Seung-hyun, better known by his stage name, Seungri, dazzled audiences in Singapore last month as part of his solo K-pop concert in the Lion City. The performance was part of The Great Seungri Tour 2019 and took place on 23rd February at The Star Theatre of The Star Performing Arts Centre. The venue which is 15 minutes from Grand Park Orchard is popular for such concerts attended by locals as well as tourists who can make use of Singapore hotel promotion options at nearby properties.
Seungri, who gained fame as being a member of global K-pop boy band sensation Big Bang, began the concert with a rendition of one of the band’s most famous songs, the electrifying “Bang Bang Bang”. He also performed his own hit songs including those from his last album, The Great Seungri released in 2018. Ever the showman, Seungri also engaged in fun conversations with delighted fans in colloquial Singaporean English or “Singlish”.
