The Langkawi International Travel Bubble Extended – Enhanced Standard Procedure in Effect

In February this year, the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture in Malaysia announced that the Langkawi International Travel Bubble (LITB) would be extended until the nation’s border reopening; this was highlighted on 17th February 2022 on Malaysia’s first news website, The Star Online, which went on to reveal that an enhanced standard procedure would come into effect as well.

This enhanced standard procedure will be the benchmark for when the country reopens. It includes guidelines such as giving tourists who have received a booster shot of a COVID-19 vaccine a chance to leave Langkawi Island on the fifth day; they can do this if the RT-PCR test or RTK antigen test that must be taken on the fourth and fifth day is negative. Travellers in search of the best resort Langkawi has to offer have safe accommodation options to choose from as well; these include Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa which provides a coastal getaway with strict health and hygiene measures in place too.
