The Louvre Abu Dhabi Just Opened an Art Gallery on a Highway – A Unique Initiative!

The Louver Aby Dhabi came up with a unique concept to offer people, art lovers or not a tantalizing glimpse of the treasures, the museum holds within its confines. Called the ”Highway Gallery”, ten works of art were displayed on 30 by 19 feet billboards on the E11 highway. Which is located between Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

The open-air gallery sat on a 85 – mile stretch of road and was in celebration of the Innovation Month in UAE. For those who wanted a bit of background on the pieces, just had to tune into one of the three participating radio stations such as Radio 1 Fm to get a 30-second description. Many Abu Dhabi resorts & hotels including the likes of Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara were quite busy during the time period the gallery was open.
