The Maldives almost hits its tourist arrival target for 2021 – Great achievements

At a time when many countries struggle to revive their tourism and travel industry, the Maldives is on a successful journey achieving its set targets in style. Although the Maldives was also challenged by the COVID 19 pandemic, this tourism-driven destination took immediate steps to open its borders to international tourists when things started to settle. It also arranged mechanisms to speed up vaccination programs in the country and also to implement proper health and safety protocols in Maldivian hotels and attractions.

Every Maldives beach resort the likes of The Residence Maldives Dhigurah is likely to have started getting a good number of reservations now, and they hope that 2022 will be surely a better year for all of them. The country recorded its millionth traveller in October 2021 and the Maldives almost reached the tourism target they had set for 2021.
