The Maldives celebrate 50 years of tourism in 2022 – Celebrating the years of success!

The beginning of tourism in Maldives opened up a golden age for the island nation. The industry was initiated back in 1972 on the 3rd of October on the island and has now been declared National Tourism Day in the Maldives. The countdown for the golden jubilee this year began at the very first island resort named Kurumba Village.

Celebrations for the 50 years of tourism in the Maldives began on the 1st of January this year and will continue till the end of 2022.
