The Maldives Experiences Surge in Arrivals – Country’s Tourism Industry Continues to Shine
Continuing its stellar tourism industry performance, the Maldives has continued to record an increase in tourists in 2023. In August this year, the country welcomed 154,854 international travellers which was a significant increase of 17.4% when compared to the same period last year. At the time, the nation had registered around 1.2 million tourists in 2023 which was a 14% increase in comparison with 2022.

Interestingly, the top source market for the Maldives currently is Russia with India following closely behind; China and the UK rank third and fourth place respectively. More travellers are also expected over the next few months as the winter season draws tourists looking to escape the cold weather of home and enjoy the tropical sunshine of the Maldives. Resort packages on offer at private island properties such as Grand Park Kodhipparu Maldives continue to feature amazing savings and exclusive benefits paving the way for truly unforgettable getaways.
