In a recent article published online, Thailand Tatler listed the “5 Best Destinations in the World to Moon Watch” which included the Maldives. As highlighted in the article, when it comes to moon watching or star gazing in this South Asian nation, Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas makes an ideal choice. A stay at this resort as part of a luxury holiday in Maldives gives guests a chance to experience the country’s sole overwater observatory which also has the most powerful telescope in the Maldives.
An added feature here is the presence of a “sky guru”; Ali Shameem is a professional astronomer who will help guests to appreciate the wonders of the heavens be it the moon, stars or planets such as Jupiter and Saturn. Apart from the Maldives, other destinations that made the list were Arizona (United States), Lake Titicaca (Peru), Moyo Island (Indonesia) and Shambala Game Reserve (South Africa).
