The Maldives has already started its vaccination program targeting the locals, and soon will be focusing on vaccinating the tourists. This plan will only come into action once the entire population of 530,000 citizens is vaccinated. By April 2021, the Maldives had vaccinated more than 20% of its population.
The plan of the Maldives Tourism authorities is to launch a special program called ‘3V Tourism’ together with this initiative. Visit, Vaccinate, and Vacation is the main idea behind this concept. Properties such as Dhigali Maldives are expected to be more benefited through this plan in the time to come. Travellers will have more peaceful times at any Maldives beach resort with their families and friends when they are holidaying in the Maldives if this ‘3V tourism’ comes into action soon.
