The holy month of fasting, Ramadan, began this month and is being observed by Muslims around the world including those in the emirate of Dubai. This year, the one-month period is from 2nd April to 2nd May 2022 and is marked as a time for spiritual self-reflection and purification as well as fasting from sunrise to sunset. While business hours can vary during this period, visitors can still easily find accommodation including at hotels in Deira, Dubai, but should remember to refrain from eating and drinking in public during the fasting hours.
Centrally located properties such as Avani Deira Dubai Hotel offer an ideal base from which to experience some of the traditions of this month like Iftar; signifying the official breaking of the fast each day at sunset, it is a time where families get together and share a meal. Special dishes are made for this period and many hotels will host grand meals for their guests to enjoy the Iftar celebrations too.
