The Moonlight Marathon – Run Through Kandy at Night!

The Moonlight Marathon was held on Saturday the 14th of March 2020 in the city of Kandy. It was sponsored by Unity Run. The marathon consisted of various distances to give participants plenty of leeway into running or walking whatever was comfortable for them at their current level and physique. This was one of the reasons as to why the event had such a successful turnout.
The race was open to both locals and foreigners as well as children. Kandy is one of the more popular event venues in Sri Lanka, thanks to its colonial charm and historical significance. The city is generally very easy-going as the people. It is especially popular with tourists for the aforementioned reasons and its unique hotels and resorts like those belonging to Aitken Spence Hotels.
The Moonlight Marathon gave participants new insight into the city of Kandy which is seldom active at night. The marathon began at 7 pm and made a perfectly cool and balmy climate for a run, making the event a resounding success.
