The second edition of this year’s Wedding Show 2019, the premier bridal exhibition in the country, took place this month in the commercial capital, Colombo. The event ran from 12th to 14th July and gave couples and those planning to tie the knot a chance to meet with some of the industry’s top professionals and wedding service providers. It was hosted at the BMICH (Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall), a centrally located venue that can be reached from city hotels as well as Sri Lanka beach resorts including properties like The Blue Water Hotel and Spa.
Organised by Asia Exhibition & Conventions, the Wedding Show 2019 covered a broad range of aspects that those planning to get married would need for an upcoming wedding. This included designer sarees for the bride and traditional Sinhala “nilame andum” for the groom as well as bridal jewellery, professional photographers, cake suppliers, wedding venues and bridal salons.
