The Wild Elephant Trail, Sri Lanka – Cultural Triangle Adventures

Offering participants a unique opportunity to explore and experience the rich heritage of Sri Lanka and its Cultural Triangle, The Wild Elephant Trail organised by GlobalLimits Sri Lanka is a multi-stage footrace set to take place from 6th to 14th March, 2015. What will be an inaugural event, The Wild Elephant Trail will take runners along a 210 km course, which will be run in six different stages and has attracted 52 runners from over 20 countries including local athletes. The race is scheduled to begin at the historic rock fortress in Yapahuwa and take contestants past such sites as the Ritigala Mountains and Kandalama Lake, before culminating at the summit of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress.
