Tianjin Eco-City to Test Sustainability Solutions – The Future of Eco Living

A flagship project between China and Singapore, the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City is set to test sustainability solutions after an agreement was recently signed between the two nations. This was highlighted on The Straits Times news website on 1st November 2022 which also revealed that the first memorandum of understanding was focused on making the eco-city a low-carbon city as well; to meet this end, the development and application of smart technologies and solutions for sustainability has come to the fore.

The Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City encompasses around 30 km and is home to approximately 13 million people. Located within easy reach of hotels in Tianjin, China, including centrally located properties like Pan Pacific Tianjin, this city provides a platform for Singapore and China to explore new collaborations; it also focuses on sharing best practices when it comes to sustainable development as well as nurturing research, education, and innovative ideas.
