Time for Sri Lanka Tourism to think more like tourists than brand builders – changing perspectives

There is so much to Sri Lanka that travellers ought to experience, however, the experiences the country offers might not be for everyone out there. Therefore, Sri Lanka will have to pause and look at things through the eyes of tourists before marketing their brand.

The CEO of E-Tourism Frontiers, Damian Cook brought to light that most travellers today are millennials and things have to be seen from their point of view. At an online meeting hosted by Sri Lanka Tourism and Advocata Institute, Cook also mentioned that the trend is Instagram and other social media! Pictures and comments shared by those who have already been to the country are what will inspire other travellers to visit the island. The availability of luxury resorts in Sri Lanka, the likes of Heritance Hotels should be highlighted via this medium.
