Tourism Authority of Thailand Plans Increasing Growth – Target Set For 2020

Reaffirming its commitment to further developing tourism in the country, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) recently announced its target of achieving a 10% growth in tourism revenues in 2020. Next year will also mark the 60th anniversary of TAT which is continually focused on developing the tourism sector and making it environmentally sustainable as well.

Currently, the country caters to a wide range of tourists be it those looking to stay at a Phuket resort or a Riverside Bangkok hotel including the likes of Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort. The Tourism Authority of Thailand hopes to continue to draw such travellers to the country while focusing on responsible tourism too. TAT will launch a campaign that targets the message of responsible tourism and being good hosts to three specific groups namely local tourism stakeholders, the Thai people and staff at TAT as well.
