Tourism Growth Targeted in the Maldives – Country to Participate in Worldwide Events

Continuing its post-COVID-19 recovery, the Maldives is planning to take part in numerous roadshows and trade exhibitions around the world this year; this was highlighted in an online article published on 17th February 2021 by TTG Asia. According to the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation, the country will participate in over 40 such events in destinations such as the US, China, France, the Middle East and Brazil. It has already taken part in the MITT trade show in Moscow and the South Asia Travel and Tourism Exchange in India this March.

From private island resort stays to fun activities to do in Maldives, tourists have once more been enjoying holidays here following the opening of international borders last July. The participation in global trade exhibitions and roadshows will serve to further boost its appeal. As quoted in the article, Assistant Vice President – Sales & Marketing of Adaaran Resorts and Heritance Aarah, Suresh Dissanayake, stated that arrivals were picking up and was hoping to take part in overseas exhibitions as well.
