Tourism Industry in the Philippines Continues to Shine – A Welcome Boost in Arrivals

The Philippines’ tourism sector is experiencing a remarkable resurgence. The country is on track to surpass pre-pandemic tourist arrivals by next year, according to Fitch Solutions. This positive trajectory is underscored by the impressive P282 billion tourism revenue generated in the first half of 2024, reflecting a substantial 32.81% growth compared to the same period in 2023. By 10th July 2024, the Philippines had welcomed 3.17 million visitors, with those from South Korea, the United States, and China leading the charge.

The capital, Manila and destinations like Pasay remain among the most popular for visitors looking to experience the best of the Philippines be it for business or leisure. Strategically located apartments in Pasay in the heart of the city such as those at properties like Citadines Bay City Manila continue to attract travellers from around the world; with sightseeing, shopping, dining and entertainment all on offer, the local tourism industry is poised to enjoy more arrivals in the months to come.
