Tourist Arrivals in Myanmar Gradually Increase
Myanmar rejoices as the number of tourist arrivals into the country has gradually increased, following the unexpected strike of COVID-19 in 2020, faced by any Yangon hotel or accommodation in other regions. Therefore, hotels like Pan Pacific Yangon will be at the advantage of welcoming more and more guests each passing day.
According to the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, the country has made a leap of 99.48% in year-on-year tourist visits during the first seven months between April 2022 and March 2023, also recognized as Myanmar’s fiscal year 2022-2023, as reported on The Star, on the 27th of November 2022. As the country resumed international flights in April 2022, a gradual increase in tourists has been rather evident in numbers, in comparison to that of the previous year. Therefore, the country remains hopeful about its recovery.
