In an exciting development, the Maldives has seen a massive surge in tourist arrivals, going beyond 1.4 million; this significant milestone brings the island nation closer to its goal of attracting two million international visitors by the end of 2024.
According to the latest data published by the Maldives Ministry of Tourism, the country recorded over 1,430,000 tourist arrivals as of September 18. This marks a 10.1% growth in comparison to the same period last year.
Among the top source markets, China leads by contributing more than 200,000 tourists, followed by Russia and the UK. As the Maldives approaches its two-million tourist target, luxurious Maldives villas and resorts, such as the premier Adaaran Select Meedhupparu, continue to offer exceptional experiences to visitors.
