Tourists Flock To Dubai In Record Numbers – Dubai sees steady growth in tourism

Dubai had a whopping 1.47 million visitors to the city in January which beat last year’s number of 980,000 by 63%. The emirate saw the most amount of visitors from India (186,000), Russia (115,000) and Saudi Arabia (98,000). One of the reasons for this is believed to be the fact that Dubai was ready to provide a safe haven for Russians fleeing from the country due to the ongoing war.

Compare to last year, stats show that hotels near The Palm Dubai now only have limited lodging due to the increasing number of tourists to the emirate. As per hotel booking websites like Webo, Avani+ Palm View Dubai Hotel & Suites and many other hotels are generally at about 80.5% occupancy in these months. This is 7% more than what it was during the same months of the year in 2022. The tourism industry is expected to grow at a rapid rate in the future months as well.
