Located off the coast of the Western region of Abu Dhabi, Sir Bani Yas Island was visited by over 250,000 tourists from around the world over the years. However its numbers of visitors are expected to vastly increase following the introduction of a variety of new activities. Having become a destination that offers a unique travel experience for visitors, it now boasts new tourist attractions such as a daily falconry demonstration which introduces a significant feature of Emirati heritage. In addition to camping excursions, there are also land sailing sessions as well as a nature and wildlife drive through an Arabian Wildlife Park. There is also a range of exemplary Abu Dhabi beach hotels including Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara.
