Travel to Phuket without Covid Tests on Arrival – Easy travel with economic benefits

Thailand, just like the rest of the world imposed strict travel restrictions in order to control the spread of COVID-19. This helped reduce the number of infected people and curtailed the spread of the disease, but at a high price. Thailand’s tourism industry which covers about one-fifth of the country’s GDP suffered immensely. Now, the country is looking at bringing back the previous rhythm into the industry.

The country’s COVID-19 task force announced on the 1st of May this year that fully vaccinated travellers will not need to take a PCR test on arrival and nor will they need to quarantine themselves at hotels. Prime Minister, Prayut Chan-O-Cha states that this move will propel the economy as a whole as the country is highly dependent on tourism. Many a luxury resort in Phuket the likes of SAii Laguna Phuket hope to see an increase in guests in the coming months.
