Screening the best of Australian and world cinema, the Travelling Film Festival (TFF) in Townsville will give audiences a chance to enjoy the magic of the movies. The event is set to take place at the Warrina Cineplex from the 14th to 17th November and festival goers in search of an ideal base from which to attend the screenings can stay at a Townsville hotel such as Oaks Gateway on Palmer.
The Travelling Film Festival will showcase feature films from around the world including short films, each offering something unique to see and experience including different narrative styles. As in past years, this year also features award winning cinematic creations that show just how powerful the medium of film can be. While the Indian film The Lunchbox will be screened at the opening night, other notable films that one can watch at the TFF include the 2014 Cannes Palme d’Or winner, Winter Sleep from Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan, the Australian comedy The Infinite Man and the uplifting Canadian film, Gabrielle.
