Thailand is a country that is heavily dependant on the travel and leisure sector to keep its economy going and so it’s no surprise that the economy faced a huge blow because of COVID19. But after strict restrictions and lockdowns were imposed, the country is gradually returning to normalcy. Thailand has even considered opening borders for international travellers once again.
At the moment, residents, non-Thai nationals who are spouses or children of locals, diplomats and special invitees by the Prime Minister are allowed to travel to the country. They are also working on a Special Tourist Visa (STV) for tourists who are willing to stay long-term. Many a 5 star Bangkok hotel the likes of Emporium Suites by Chatrium are making arrangements to facilitate guests during this period.
