An event that was enjoyed by foodies in Bali, the Ubud Food Festival was held from 26th to 28th April 2019 and promoted the island’s diverse cuisines and culinary experiences. Tourists had the chance to enjoy a wide range of dishes and demonstrations by renowned chefs at this festival in Ubud. Bali resorts and hotels in the region offered easy access to the Festival Hub which was at Taman Kuliner, a 15 minute drive from Alila Ubud. Other venues around Ubud such as the Indus Restaurant were also incorporated into the festival’s programme schedule.
The theme of this year’s Ubud Food Festival was “Spice up the World” and visitors had the chance to sample some truly spicy cuisine. The special Kitchen Stage featured Michelin-starred chefs in action, while the Masterclasses provided hands-on learning on everything from culinary creations to street food photography. Other highlights included special events such as Ubud’s Superfood Brunch and Michelin-starred Modern Thai.
