The event ran from 27th April to 4th May 2019 with the spectacular opening and closing ceremonies taking place at the Darwin Waterfront, within easy reach of CBD hotels and serviced apartments. Darwin venues that were used for the sporting events included the Darwin Convention Centre, a 10 minute walk from Oaks Elan Darwin, the Marrara Sporting Complex, the Darwin Sailing Club and the Parap Swimming Pool. Basketball, football, beach volleyball, athletics, boxing, netball, swimming, weightlifting and sailing were amongst the 17 sport disciplines featured this year.
