Last December, Hong Kong celebrated the festive season by offering several experiences some of which incorporated technology to provide innovative online adventures. This included 360-degree virtual tours of what was called “Christmas Town”; this virtual landscape of the Central Business District gave online visitors a chance to explore the area complete with iconic buildings and a huge Christmas tree while taking part in interactive escapades.
Amongst the real-world attractions was a stained-glass butterfly that was seven metres tall and more than 350 LED butterflies that formed the first AI-powered butterfly art installation in the world. This unique spectacle was on display will 10th January 2021 at Lee Tung Avenue close to Dorsett Wanchai Hong Kong; it is amongst the Hong Kong hotels with hygiene measures that are designated quarantine hotels for arriving travellers and which offer special 21-night quarantine packages. Such properties also come under the “Anti-Epidemic Hygiene Measures Certification Scheme”; this certification ensures a safe stay for guests and is given by the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency for hotels which have adopted stringent health and safety protocols.
