Unlocking Borders: Malaysia Extends Visa-Free Entry to Indian Travelers

In a significant development for Asian tourism, Malaysia has opened its doors wider to Indian travellers, abolishing the need for a visa from December 1, 2023. This progressive move allows citizens of both India and China to explore Malaysia for 30 days without the hindrance of visa requirements.

Malaysia joins the ranks of countries fostering greater travel accessibility for Indian passport holders. Notably, Sri Lanka initiated a pilot project in October, waiving visas for several nations, including India and China, until March 31, 2024. Additionally, Thailand recently lifted visa restrictions for visitors from India and Taiwan, effective from November 10, extending this favourable policy until May 10, 2024.
