Akbar Al Baker, the GCEO of Qatar Airways recently expressed his views on the vaccination program carried out around the globe to stay protected against the COVID -19 pandemic. He stated that the certificate given to individuals once he/she gets vaccinated will be the main requirement to provide when making travel plans. According to him, flights, airport authorities and even hotels in the future will ask for this document before getting the traveller onboard.
In terms of the Doha tourism industry, luxury hotels in Doha the likes of Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara are now open to welcome guests, and they are getting bookings from domestic travellers the most. Experts predict that this vaccine has the capability of establishing confidence back in the minds of travellers to travel again as they used to do before the pandemic.
