Vietnam has set itself apart from other countries as one of the only few nations able to record a rise in its economy after a global collapse in trade, travel, and investment was recorded worldwide due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In terms of its global trade, Vietnam has had relative economic growth as its exports increased by a significant percentage during the first three quarters of 2020 compared to last year. Authorities have been able to control community spread with only a minimum number of deaths compared to its population.
As of December 2020, the Vietnamese government continues to suspend entry into the country for all foreign nationals but those who are already within the country can look forward to spending a holiday at their favourite Hoi An hotel the likes of Anantara Hoi An Resort.
