Visitor Numbers to Singapore on the Rise – The Return of Chinese Travellers a Key Factor

The resilient tourism industry in Singapore is gaining significant momentum in the wake of the pandemic, with a notable surge in tourist arrivals this year. In July 2023, Singapore welcomed a total of 1.42 million tourists, marking a substantial 25.7% increase compared to June. This boost can be largely attributed to a rise in visitors from China, which relaxed its travel restrictions, allowing its citizens to travel abroad.

According to data from the Singapore Tourism Board, there were 231,330 travellers from China in July, reflecting a remarkable 104% increase from the previous month. Moreover, July’s figure of 1.42 million arrivals more than doubled the number recorded in the same month the previous year. In the first seven months of 2023, Singapore has already received a total of 7.7 million tourists. These trends align well with the approaching winter holiday season, making the destination an appealing choice for both business and leisure travellers seeking enticing hotel promotions in Singapore. Among the accommodation options, Grand Park City Hall, a 5-star hotel in the Civic District situated in the heart of City Hall, stands out as a luxurious and secure haven to explore the vibrant Lion City.
