Walkers Tours Commended On Achieving Double Digit Carbon Emissions Reduction

Walkers Tours has yet again set a footprint, but not a carbon footprint at that. At a ceremony organized by The Carbon Consulting Company, which is the country’s primary sustainability provider, Walkers Tours was commendedfor being the only company in Sri Lanka who operates a fleet of vehicles with the accolade, CarbonNeutral which is an International Certification. Sri Lanka Holidays takes on a new lease of life with Walkers Tours Sri Lanka who have been conscious about the environment and maintained a green fleet for the past four years. This has been due to the minute attention given by the Walkers’ sustainability team, to tracking and managing their fleet and for introducing and also streamlining operations, and always falling in line with their quality checks. Despite an increase in the operations, Walkers Tours have been able to reduce their carbon footprint by over a staggering 10%. This is quite admirable in a day and age when only a fraction of people are conscious of dwindling environmental resources and our responsibility in preserving them.
