Although Wat Rong Khun which is also known as the White Temple in Chiang Rai has always been a top attraction to all most every traveller staying at any hotel in Chiang Rai all throughout the year, months of November and December are extra special mainly because of the Wat Ring Light fest, which is simply a series of events filled with lights of all sorts.
In 2019, every evening from 22nd of November to 22nd of December was showered with lights at the White Temple and to see these spectacular evenings guests from nearby resorts the likes of Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort had also come in bulks. The festival also served a charity purpose where part of the proceeds was donated to the Chiang Rai Prachanukroh Hospital.
