Wild Elephant Trail Race 2016 to Kickoff This March in Sri Lanka

Organised by GlobalLimits, the Wild Elephant Trail Race is scheduled to take place in March 2016 in the Asian island of Sri Lanka. The 210km race which is divided into a total of six stages will begin on March 6th before concluding on March 11th at the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Those planning to catch all the excitement of the race on its last leg can stay at resorts in Sri Lanka right near Sigiriya such as Aliya Resort & Spa which is part of the Theme Resorts & Spas chain. The race which will begin approximately 100kms from the commercial capital Colombo, will take participants over rugged terrain and through Sri Lanka’s jungle and mountain landscapes, an elephant corridor and Sigiriya which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In fact the final stage will see runners having to make their way up 1860 steps to the summit and the finish line.
