With free tourist Visa strategies, Sri Lankan tourism gains results

- working together for improvement

As a strategy to rev up the tourism industry of Sri Lanka that had been severely hindered after the Easter bomb attacks, the tourism authorities decided to launch a free visa program last August. According to the statistics, this initiative has been able to reap good results as tourists responded to this strategy quite positively.

The hospitality sector in the country was also badly affected by the unfortunate incident and not just every hotel in Colombo, but also, every resort in Bentota and other tourist-friendly areas in Sri Lanka felt this impact on their operations. The officials consider extending this free visa program further, and this will bring good hopes to hotels the likes of Shinagawa Beach in high tourist-friendly regions in the country.
