Wollongong city, located south of Sydney, is more commonly known as a weekend getaway spot with its surf breaks, sandy beaches and relaxing Wollongong accommodation such as the Emerald + Aqua Holiday Homes; however, the Wollongong Fringe Festival is looking to change that perception by highlighting the city’s growing art scene. The Fringe Festival will take over 9 days packed with entertainment and activities that will showcase the city’s talented art scene. The festival will open Wollongong’s Art Precinct, followed up by various musical events and even sporting activities. In addition, markets, theatre, experimental digital, art installations and workshops will be held on different days. The Fringe Festival wraps up with the Yours and Owls festival. The Wollongong Fringe Festival 2016 will run from 23rd September to 03rd October.
