Words in Colours – Encouraging Youthful Expression

A programme that aimed to encourage children to express themselves, Words in Colours was a series of weekly workshops that recently concluded in Abu Dhabi. The workshops which began on April 23rd concluded on June 4th with programmes being held every Saturday at the National Theatre. Held in Arabic, these workshops which included creative writing and other activities looked to encourage young participants, aged between 8 to 12 years, to fully express themselves and their thoughts and aspirations. Combining colours and words, children were given a chance to look into themselves and let their unique personality reflect in their work, while the workshop helped to foster writing talent as well.
