World Tourism Day 2022 Hosted by Bali – A Refreshing Experience

World Tourism Day was held in Bali, Indonesia under the theme “Rethinking Tourism” which focused on the impact of tourism on the planet and initiating sustainable tourism across the globe. It also gave the spotlight to developing the education and jobs sector through tourism. The idea was promoted by the founders of the Day, the United Nations of World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) through many media partners. There were discussions among the tourism ministers of Russia, India, China, Brazil, and South Africa on the path to recovery of the tourism sector after the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event also emphasised how agritourism and cycling travel are trending in several countries while leaning towards environment-friendly tourism. There are many Bali resorts including the famous Anantara Uluwatu Bali Resort that strongly focus on sustainable tourism and the initiatives that can be taken to reduce the carbon footprint of the world.
