Following last year’s success, the Yas Gaming Festival was back in 2019 bringing some of the region’s best gamers together. Organised by IGN Middle East, the event ran from 5th to15th June and also saw the attendance of technical experts from the gaming industry as well as social media stars. The festival was hosted at Yas Mall within easy reach of Anantara Eastern Mangroves Abu Dhabi Hotel and similarly well-placed 5 star hotels in Abu Dhabi.
Amongst the games featured for competitions at the Yas Gaming Festival 2019 were Fortnite, Overwatch and Street Fighter V. Game showcases, panel discussions, VR zones and quiz shows were also part of the event along with a cosplay competition. There was also a special ProAm Tournament where the prize money was donated to Gaming 4 Good which focuses on helping those with autism.
