Anantara Opts for Locally Grown – Being environmentally and Taste Friendly

Thailand’s latest trend comes in the form of encouraging people to consume locally grown produce. This new trend is meant to be beneficial not only in terms of enhancing the taste of the already delicious Thai cuisine, but also regarding environmental welfare.

One of the many Bangkok resorts that are starting to incorporate this policy happens to be the Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort. The hotel’s rooftop has been converted into an urban farm of sorts, in order to cater to its guests’ culinary needs.

The hotel is assisted in this venture by the Bangsai Agricultural Centre. Experts of the Centre have developed special and unique facilities and containers in order to facilitate the project. The garden is home to 29 plant beds, 3 greenhouses and 1 canopied tunnel which are all utilised to grow a variety of vegetables, herbs and other greens.
