Anantara Wins Inter Resort Volley Zone 5 – Celebrating Sporting Success

Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas emerged victorious in the recently concluded Zone 5 finals of the Sonee Sports Inter Resort Zone Volleyball Championships. While Maldives water sports are a perennial favourite, land based activities such as volleyball are also popular especially with the locals and this inter resort tournament gave staff members a chance to take part as they represented their properties. The finals of Zone 5 saw the team from Anantara Kihavah defeat the team from Soneva Fushi in three straight sets with the final scores reading, 29-27, 25-18 and 25-22. Representing Anantara, Dimuth was adjudged the Man of the Match. Anantara’s coach Mohamed Sharaf was adjudicated as the Best Coach, while Ahmed Hussain, Hussain Ali and Shiruhan Abdul Sattar were named as being amongst Zone 5’s Best Six Players.
