Cambodia to Host Half Marathon at Angkor Site – Running For A Cause

Featuring a track that gives runners a chance to also see the stunning monuments and ruins of famed historic site Angkor Wat, the Cambodia Half Marathon will take place on 7th December, 2014. This, the 19th international half marathon to be hosted at the Angkor Wat temple complex, will feature more than 4,000 professional and amateur runners, from a wide cross-section of countries. The categories include the main 21 km run, along with a 10 km and a fun run course that covers 3 km. While the half marathon at this World Heritage Site is seen as a means in which to help promote tourism, the proceeds raised from the event will be donated to landmine victims and the Cambodian Red Cross.
