As one of the most touted development plans of 2016, the extension of the Dubai canal is set to transform the area into a premier recreational hotspot. The canal will be extended a further 3.2km from to reach Arabian Gulf from the Business Bay.

Stakeholders believe the plans will not only create investments for the area but also create a niche tourist market for cities in Dubai.
