Freemason Market 2016 – Experience Queensland’s Signature Sunday Markets

Sunday Markets are hardly a novelty in Moranbah but the monthly Freemason Market is arguably one of the best local thoroughfares in Queensland. Having taken over the Sunday markets from the Lyons Club which hosted the event for three decades, the Moranbah Freemasons have transformed the quirky local marketplace to a community event in the three years since the organization took the helm. The markets are held at the Moranbah Town Square Park on the last Sunday of each month except December when it is conducted on the second Sunday due to the Christmas shopping season.

Attended by locals as well as tourists based in Oaks Moranbah or any other well placed Moranbah hotel in QLD close to the market area, the event is ranked among the best venues to purchase fresh produce. Top buys at the market also include cakes, sweets, seafood and specialty food varieties as well as clothing and other consumer goods such as toys and jewellery.
