Tuk Tuk Polo Tournament & Car Rally; Tuk Tukking in Fun!

Tuk Tukking is one of the most popular ways to travel in the emerald isle of Sri Lanka. In recent years, this popular mode of transport has morphed into a sport that has been welcomed heartily by tourists both locally and internationally. The Tuk Tuk Polo Tournament & Car Rally was held on the 20th to the 21st of February. So the next time you visit the historic city of Galle for a visit during this time make sure you check out this fabulous annual event that is held at the Old Dutch Fort. This year’s Tuk Tuk Polo Tournament & Car Rally features a total of six teams out of which the winner was Team Cantaloupe.

Started out originally as an elephant polo tournament, the event later in 2007 swapped tuk tuks for elephants much to the relief of animal lovers and has been a popular event of Sri Lanka’s down south.
