The Sigiriya Rallycross 2018 was successfully held on 27th May at SLAF Station Sigiriya. The event was organized by the Sri Lanka Auto Sports drivers Association (SLADA). More than 200 drivers competed in 24 races. The Sigiriya race track is the country’s only track with Gravel and Tarmac combination. The event commenced with the colourful parade of motorcycle teams and motor cars. The Nissan March event was an important highlight amongst young spectators and Anjana Weerawardena became the winner of that exciting event. The final car event evoked more excitement with all the competitors driving bumper to bumper. Sigiriya Rallycross was held for the first time in 2013 and this year marks the 5th consecutive year of racing. Tourists who were residing at some of the best hotels in Sigiriya the likes of Sigiriya Jungles had the opportunity to witness this incredible motor racing competition.
