An event that will feature plenty of snow-related activities and amazing ice sculptures, the 2020 Sapporo Snow Festival is all set to take place from 04th to 11th February next year. As in previous editions, there will be three areas where visitors can enjoy diverse experiences when in Sapporo. Also accessible for those staying at an Otaru hotel near Jr Station including properties such as Grand Park Otaru, these sites are namely Odori, Susukino and Tsudome.
Covering an area of around 1.5 km, the Odori site at the 2020 Sapporo Snow Festival will offer everything from breathtaking snow sculptures and a skating rink to plenty of Hokkaido dishes. At the Susukino site, visitors can look forward to seeing more remarkable ice sculptures including those that are competing in an ice sculpture contest. With its snow rafts, snow slides and other related fun activities, the Tsudome site is a family favourite and is worth a visit too.
