Abu Dhabi looks forward to establishing itself as one of the best medical tourist destinations – MTA establishes in Abu Dhabi

Rooted in the USA, the MTA is a non-profit making organization that focuses on supporting governments and healthcare providers that aim to create a medical tourism programme in their respective country. Abu Dhabi has put this opportunity to good use and taken initiative to become the best medical tourist destination.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Abu Dhabi between the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and the Medical Tourism Association. This seals the deal where both parties work together to promote Abu Dhabi as a Medical Tourism Destination to larger markets such as China, Russian and GCC. The agreement was signed for a period of 10 years. Also, the first MTA office will be opening soon in Abu Dhabi. Tourism is sure to rise with the initiatives take and so 5-star resorts in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and destinations close by will see further increase in tourism. Hotels like Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort will also benefit by this.
