Anantara Kihavah Invites Guests to Paint in Paradise with Renowned Artist – Escape Into Art

Artistic re-recreations of the Maldives’ Baa Atoll island archipelago would be no match to its true beauty. However, what art enables is personal interpretation. It is a joy to know that Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas recognizes the significance of art. Until May 27 2016, Julie Simpson, one of Australia’s most renowned artists resided at the hotel, providing guests the opportunity to learn and be inspired by her work. Simpsons taught six days a week from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm. During this time frame, guests were guided by the artist and were given the necessary tools to imaginatively interpret the sand, sun and sea. Adults and children who were enjoying a luxury holiday in Maldives were fortunate enough to be in the company of Simpson who sat by the ocean and gave life to many canvases. Guests, who were inspired by the unending sand and sea, carried their creations home along with a bag full of memories.
