The Asian Urban Futures Workshop 2014 was held recently for two days from 14-15th October. The workshop focused on discussing the challenges faced by the Asian cities due to the rapid climate change and urbanization. Many representing the technology, science and development sectors took part in this international event to find solution to the rising issue. The UNDP together with UN- Habitat, USAID and UN Global Pulse hosted this event in Bangkok.
Those taking part found accommodation at renowned Bangkok serviced apartments such as Anantara Baan Rajprasong Bangkok Serviced Suites that offered a comfortable stay and was within easy reach of the event venue. Various stakeholders discussed forecasts & models based on state of the art science and technology to find the best approach to help solve the major challenges faced by Asian cities.
